Our Team

Pastor Ben D’Amico was born in Toledo, Ohio, and has faithfully served in pastoral ministry for more than 20 years. He began serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hastings in 2016, bringing with him a deep love for God’s Word, people, and community outreach.

Pastor Ben is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor of Theology. He later completed both his Master’s and Doctorate degrees through Andersonville Seminary. He was licensed and ordained at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, where he managed the church’s media staff.

Before surrendering to God’s call to ministry, Pastor Ben worked in radio and television, serving at local stations affiliated with NBC, CBS, and FOX. He later used those skills in ministry, serving on the media staff at Sherwood Baptist Church (Albany, GA) and First Baptist Church of New Orleans, LA.

Pastor Ben has pastored churches in Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia and preached his first sermon at Vieux Carré Baptist Church in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He has also been actively involved in homeless ministry in Atlanta, Albany, and New Orleans, and served on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention.

On January 8, 2000, Pastor Ben married Catherine Rebecca Morris at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Together, they share a heart for ministry and service.

In his free time, Pastor Ben enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf, and is a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
